Indoor Air Quality & Humidity Control
Signs your indoor air needs attention
- The house feels sticky or clammy even when the thermostat says it’s cool
- A musty smell when the AC starts, or mildew on vents, closets or shoes
- Dust that comes back days after cleaning
- Allergies or stuffiness that ease up when you leave the house
How we help
- Humidity diagnosis. An oversized system, a fan left on “On” instead of “Auto,” or leaky return ducts can all leave a home humid. We find the cause first.
- Better filtration. Upgrading from a basic 1-inch filter to a properly sized media filter can capture far more dust and allergens without choking airflow.
- Clean coils and drains. A dirty indoor coil and a slimy drain pan are common sources of musty smells.
- Smart thermostats. Many can manage humidity and give you better control over when and how the system runs.
Keeping indoor humidity under about 60% (ideally 45 to 55%) helps prevent mold and mildew, and makes your home feel cooler at the same thermostat setting.
